SAFETY & MAINTENANCE

Our buses have been restored to a very high standard and are subject to thorough safety checks every eight weeks.  Furthermore, our policy of preventative maintenance at our fully equipped workshop ensures they are very reliable vehicles.

DRIVERS AND INSURANCE

All our drivers are experienced vintage bus drivers and have PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licences; our buses are all taxed and insured for private hire and we have fully comprehensive and public liability insurance.

OPERATOR’S LICENCE

We hold a Public Service Vehicle Operator’s Licence, issued on behalf of the Department of Transport by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). As a licenced operator we must satisfy a number of requirements, including demonstrating a satisfactory maintenance regime and holding sufficient financial reserves. Any of these requirements may be checked by the DVSA at any time.

DON'T BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE - ALWAYS USE A FULLY LICENSED OPERATOR!

We are fully licensed and insured for operating our buses and carrying passengers. Our Operator number is PF1124160 and this can be verified on the VOSA website. Also, our insurance certificates are available at our office for inspection.

BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF USING AN UNLICENSED OPERATOR!

We strongly advise you to ensure that your chosen supplier is fully legal. To carry passengers, the law requires both the operator and the driver to be properly licensed. If they are not, then their insurance will almost certainly be invalidated. Furthermore, there will be no guarantee that the vehicle will have been checked and maintained to commercial bus safety standards.

Unfortunately, there are unlicensed bus owners advertising their services in this area at highly discounted prices, so before booking ask to see their O Licence and check that their vehicle is taxed and insured as a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) and not a historic vehicle.
